Chester County’s Welcoming Home for Women’s Golf — Clinics, Leagues, and Instruction
Whether you’re picking up a club for the first time or chasing a personal best, Downingtown Country Club is Chester County’s welcoming home for women’s golf. Our ladies clinics, leagues, and instruction programs — led by Head Golf Pro Chris Conklin on George Fazio’s classic 1965 Main Line design — give women golfers of every skill level a place to learn, play, and belong.
Ladies golf clinics
Our one-hour Ladies Golf Clinics run on select Friday evenings at 5:30 PM and focus on a different aspect of the game each month — from short game to course management to full-swing fundamentals. Any skill level is welcome, and every clinic ends with specials in the 7-Tap Tavern so you can unwind, compare notes, and build friendships on and off the course.
2026 Clinic Dates: April 24, May 15, June 19, July 10, August 21, September 18, and October 16.
Ladies leagues
Downingtown Country Club runs two Ladies Leagues designed to fit how you want to play. The Tuesday Morning 18-Hole League is for women with an established handicap (available through DCC if you don’t have one yet) and plays a traditional format each week. The Thursday Night 18-Hole League tees off between 4:30 and 5:50 PM, welcomes all skill levels, and alternates nines each week with on-course fun games — the 12-week season runs May 14 through August 27.
Instruction & Membership
Beyond clinics and leagues, women golfers at Downingtown have access to private lessons with Head Golf Pro Chris Conklin and Assistant Pro Ryan Skierski, plus multiple practice areas including a driving range, putting green, and short-game facility.
Tour the course details page to see the full Fazio-designed layout, then explore our golf membership options — which include playing privileges at all seven courses in the Ron Jaworski Golf network (Back Creek, Blue Heron Pines, Ramblewood, RiverWinds, Running Deer, and Valleybrook). For larger groups, we also host golf outings, and every round ends well at Seven Tap-Tavern.
