What is a corporate golf outing?

A corporate golf outing is a golf event hosted by a company – client entertainment, a team day, a sales incentive, or a charity tournament run under the company name. Most combine a round of golf with food, contests and some form of hosted hospitality. At Downingtown Country Club these run as shotgun starts for larger groups or consecutive tee times for smaller ones, with scoring, signage and catering handled by the club rather than by someone on your staff.

Can we host a corporate golf outing on a weekday?

Yes, and it is the main reason companies choose us. Downingtown Country Club takes outings any day of the week, while many clubs in the Philadelphia suburbs restrict outside events to Mondays. That means you can book the Tuesday or Thursday that suits your clients and your calendar instead of working around a course policy.

How many golfers can Downingtown Country Club accommodate for a corporate outing?

Shotgun starts can run up to 144 golfers and require a minimum of 48 players, going off at either 9:00 AM or 1:00 PM. Smaller groups book as tee time outings instead, which need a minimum of 16 golfers and should be reserved more than three weeks in advance. Additional carts can be arranged for larger fields for an extra fee.

What is included in a corporate golf outing package?

Every package covers greens fees, carts, bag drop service, personalized scorecards, cart signs with player names, rules sheets and scoring from our Pro Shop, and locker room access. Optional on-course refreshment stations, stocked with snacks, soda, water and domestic beer, can be added to any package, and a prize package of golf for four at Downingtown Country Club is included.

Can we combine the outing with lunch, a dinner or an awards reception?

Yes. Menus run from breakfast through dinner – Birdie Box Lunches, deli lunch buffets and shotgun BBQ lunches, then live grill stations, tailgate dinner stations, classic dinner buffets or BBQ dinners. Beverage carts, halfway house stations and open bar packages, including a premium open bar, are all available. Companies regularly pair a shotgun start with dinner and an awards presentation afterwards.

What contests and enhancements can we add for our guests?

Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin are both included, and our Pro Shop coordinates them alongside the scoring. Silent auction and raffle tables are included as well, which suits companies running the outing as a fundraiser. Additional food stations and receptions can be added on top.
